The kitchen has evolved through history and swung from being the one room cabin or outside over an open fire, to the looked down upon servant’s area several hundred years ago, to the current gathering area that has to be decorated to be the talk of the neighborhood. In some people’s minds. Everyone has a different idea of what to do with the kitchen. I have been in mansions with huge kitchens and islands and told by the owner that they have never cooked in the house after all these years. They don’t know why they have two dishwashers to entertain because anything at the house is catered or they eat out. Oh well. True story.
